To my dearly beloved gospel preaching peers:

This little two-part sermon mini-series is one I would dearly love to see some semblance of preached in every faithful to the old paths congregation of the Lord's church on the planet today (and even more so, in every man-made denomination not seen in Scripture as well - although that'll never happen). But our brethren surely need to know and understand the scriptural truths studied herein, so as to better understand and implement the title into their thinking and response the next time some denominationalist who has absolutely no idea what the word actually means, accuses them of being a part of a "cult"...

You see, referring to the Lord's one, original, pre-denominational, New Testament church (the one seen established and in existence throughout the New Testament, and congregations of which were referred to individually as the "churches of Christ" by the apostle Paul as he worked, worshiped, wrote to, and traveled amongst them in the first century - Romans 16:16)as a "cult" (or "sect") is nothing new. It predates Nancy Grace's March 2006 television broadcast and Baptist "pastor" debacle; the 1989 lawsuit against the Collinsville, Oklahoma church of Christ; and goes all the way back to the first century - all the while fulfilling a promise made by none other than Jesus Himself. The only real surprise however, is shockingly apparent when one begins to understands the true meaning of the term. Check out this little two part sermon mini-series and see why. Quick correction just so as to not give the wrong impression: At the 2:51 and 2:55 marks of this sermon, I mistakenly used the word "creature," instead of the word "being." The word "being" is what I should have used there, just as I actually did use in summation at the 3:15 mark.
