Now we come to the parts of the tower that happened after Stephen King's accident that almost killed him. Rumor has it that he was aftraid he would die without finishing, so he just went for it and wrote V, VI and VII all at once, and we are better for it. The pace is frenzied from here on out, there is always several things happening at once, but we'll try to catch them all. Let's start with Wolves of the Calla. Episode 65 is the first of two parts coverting part 1 of Wolves of the Calla, including the Final Argument, Prologue and part 1: Todash, up to and including chapter VII: Todash. (That's right, things get a little wonky when you start going todash). Come and join us along the beam today! As always, it is unscripted, raw and only minimally edited when necessary. 64 is a quick little sidestep into a stop along Roland's journey as he chases the trail of the MiB. The whole atmosphere is wonderfully creepy and foreboding interspersed with a high squirm factor. In other words, classic Stephen King! We put this story before the Wolves of the Calla in the timeline, because there are similarities between the events in both. Roland's world is a strangely terrifying place, full of mysteries, and this story gives us a little more insight into that world.

Episode 63 is our fourth and final discussion of Low Men in Yellow Coats, the first story from Hearts in Atlantis. Since we are on a quest to the Dark Tower, this is the only story from Hearts in Atlantis that we are covering, for now. But the entire book is wonderful and if you want to learn more about Bobby, Carol and Sully, then please read the rest of the book, you won't be disappointed. Anyway, let's start the tale of the lonely Bobby Garfield and his mom, who have a complicated relationship that gets even more strained with the arrival of an elderly boarder renting a room upstairs. This is a DT story, but you don't really know that until the end. Most of this book is classic Stephen King, with a 12 year child in a single parent home just living his best life in his own small town. This is another book that you don't need to enjoy the Tower experience, but it sure enhances it. This isn't about Tower, until it is, because all things serve the Beam (not the King). Come and play along the beam today!
