What are some practical daily things that will help us overcome temptation? Why is it important to overcome temptation and to live a life that demonstrates Christ’s victory over the power of sin? Does sin bring pain into our lives? Does sin separate us from God? In what way? This discussion is very unique and engaging with a lot of group involvement and input that will encourage and enlighten you that you are not the only one in the battle against the enemy of your soul. I’ll give you a hint, it might not be what you think! Like Samuel, our first impulse is generally to look at outward appearance, therefore we tend to battle in more outward ways. We work very hard at trying to drum up excitement in our worship services or fight super competitively, and often rudely, in political and social circles...the question is: are these things truly effective or looked upon with favor by God? Let’s take a closer look together.

How do we know when God is speaking to us? Why do some people seemingly hear Him more than others? How do we know when a prophecy over us, should be received? How do we test it? Are some of us more interested in hearing a “word from the Lord” than “The Word of The Lord” (the scriptures)? What are the different ways that God speaks to us and gives us guidance and instruction: such as dreams, prophecy, audible voice, angels, etc. Are ALL these from God?

Is an individuals salvation, a pre-determined plan of God or a free choice of our own will? Did Adam and Eve have free-will? Why did God put the forbidden fruit in the garden in the first place? Let’s take a deeper look at the nature of salvation and the beauty of free-will given as a gift by God to every single person born on this planet, from Adam, up unto this very day.
