Satan often tries every tactic and distraction he can, in order to try to prevent our fruitfulness...but God has promised it, if we “do not grow weary in well doing, for IN DUE TIME we shall reap, if we do not lose heart!”

Forgot to mention in this recording the following: As you know, it is common for various speakers to get caught up in the moment and blurt out an occasional “flop sentence” ...this might be something like: mistakingly saying something completely ridiculous like: “when JOSHUA parted the Red Sea” or quoting a scripture with the wrong reference address by mistake. Please forgive us when this happens, it is certainly not intentional. Please don’t take these “flop sentences” seriously! Also, just to let you guys know, we will be putting up a new podcast EVERY WEDNESDAY MORNING (think: “Word Wednesday” and you will remember the day better that way) so you can have something to download for the week and listen on your way to work. There are MANY examples of the importance of context, but today we briefly examine a common scripture that has been lifted out of its context and has confused millions of people and has been used as a foundational scripture for one of the largest religions in the world.

One of the most critical needs in the body of Christ today, is to study scripture in context. It is a very common practice of many layman and leaders, to attempt to interpret and to teach doctrinal concepts by intentionally or unintentionally, lifting single scriptures out (as if with a pair of tweezers!) and building entire doctrines around them, without fully exploring the context in which the statement was made. It is CRITICAL to a proper understanding of the Bible and it’s teachings, that we read the TOTALITY of what the writer was communicating and not just take a snip-it here and a snip-it there. If you ever wonder why the Bible APPEARS at times to contradict itself, then this teaching will make so much sense to you and give you practical tools to solve the puzzle.
