There are 14 leadership principals within LEAN. Toyota grouped them into four P's. Philosophy, Processes, People and Problem solving. Matts will walk you through all 14 and show you how they connect together, so that you too can apply them into your business or start up.
The reasoning behind the groupings is to make LEAN more accessible to most businesses. What is fashinating is that each group can, individually, have a major impact in how you can create more value to the end user.
Even if LEAN first was mainly intended for production, Matts is claiming that it is even more important use LEAN principals in a service business. Reason being that the "product" is both created and consumed at the same time, not allowing for any quality assurance. Using LEAN you can affect the end result.
Traditional companies often have a different hierarchal structure, which causes the employees to focus more on maintaining the corporate structure instead of customer value.
Another major difference is how LEAN companies deal with anomalies and mistakes.
