How many team names can an F1 team be named? So many names.

We're back with Part 5 of our F1 Team Genealogy series, covering two of the most entertaining team histories: Alpine and Aston Martin.

From Kimi Raikkonen almost bankrupting Lotus, Flavio Briatore being banned from F1 for life (but also not), CrashGate, Midland and Spyker and Force India's financial collapse, plus Daddy Stroll buying a team for his son, there's definitely a lot to talk about for a pair of teams that don't have much relevance to the F1 World Championship race.

As we inch closer to the end of the Formula 1 "fall break", we inch closer to the end of our F1 Team Genealogy Series.

In today's episode, Kathryn and Emily talk the histories of the two most successful modern teams: Red Bull and Mercedes.

For Red Bull, it started with a former F1 driver, shifted to become an advertising board for an American car company, and then the brain child of motorsport racer Christian Horner.

And for Mercedes, whose history begins with the questions, what would have it been like if Mercedes didn't bow out of Motorsport after the 1955 Le Mans disaster? Decades later, it picks back up with Tyrell racing, a stint as the iconic British American Racing, a hot minute with Honda, the smash hit success with Brawn, before the return of one of the most successful teams in modern motorsport.

In Part 3 of our F1 Genealogy project, we cover the two teams on the grid with the current worst names in the history of Formula 1: Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber and Visa Cashapp RB.

They're a pair of teams with some interesting history, a bunch of notable drivers who didn't do much while driving for those teams, and rebrands every 20 minutes, including some that Emily refuses to accept for valid reasons (because let's be real, AlpahTauri is one of the blandest fashion brands ever).
