I remember all the pets we had growing up. We were mostly a dog family, but later on we had some cats too. They were all pretty cool for the most part. But I had a dog Louie who was the absolute coolest.

Why? Because his energy was just amazing. Even though he was in pain from old age, he refused to die. He didn't want to leave us.

That loyalty meant a great deal to me. He still visits me in my dreams even though it has been decades since he passed away.
