If you don’t know how to evaluate and celebrate your progress, then you may be tempted to feel that you have been on the same spot.

That’s a very difficult feeling to deal with.

The question is, how can you evaluate your inner healing progress? What are the things to look for?

Today, i would like us to discuss practical ways to engage with God’s presence for inner healing, how divine encounters can produce healing, and also how to curate divine encounters for healing.

Let me begin by reading a portion of scripture

Psalm 16:11 (NIV) says, “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”

Welcome to day 35 of 40 days of Inner healing - THE HOLY SPIRIT IN HEALING.

The Holy Spirit is described as the one who manifests God’s divine presence.

The Holy Spirit is the expression of the Supremacy of God, in his omnipresence, omniscience, omnipotence and all existence of God.

The Holy Spirit is the living breath of God - the breath that is life, the breath that is alive, the breath that is a person and the breath that gives life.

The Holy Spirit was the first to be revealed at creation- before God said let there be light, the Holy Spirit had incubated the earth.

I describe the Holy Spirit as the womb of the father in the universe - the father’s will cannot come to pass without the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is Jesus without human body and without borders.

The Holy Spirit is Jesus, everywhere at all times, with all his power.

Understanding the person of the holy spirit to creation is a huge step in understanding his role in inner healing.

Welcome to day 34 of 40 days of Inner healing - THE RESTORATIVE POWER OF SCRIPTURE

When we mention meditation in a Christian context, we’re referring to the practice of reflecting deeply on God’s Word, allowing it to permeate our thoughts and transform our hearts.

To meditate is to fill our minds with the word.

To create vivid mental pictures of the word in our minds or imagination, to see so clearly that we speak.

There is a level of ponder where your mind accepts your imagination as reality and then your life begins to move in that direction.

For example you can remember a sad memory from the past so much that you start to cry or speak to yourself as though the person were in front of you.

In the same way, the word of God can be so real in the process of meditation, that it rewires your identity and reality.

Welcome to day 33 of 40 days of Inner healing - PRAYER AND WARFARE IN HEALING.

Prayer recognizes the facts and then chooses to lay emphasis on the factual truth of the word of God.

This is the major work of prayer in healing - to make the truths of the word of God so real to you that they can’t be taken away from you.

Prayer is the exchange of deep and intimate thoughts, words, feelings and expressions with God, for the purpose of knowing him, making our desires known to him, and ultimately to partner with him to enforce his will on earth.

Prayer is the place of exchange.

This is where your ashes are exchanged for the beauty of God.

Welcome to day 32 of 40 days of Inner healing - SUPPORT SYSTEMS FOR HEALING

A support system refers to a network of people, resources, and structures that provide emotional, practical, and informational assistance during times of need.

In your inner healing journey, you will need support systems.

I tell people that inner healing doesn’t just happen. Time does not heal all wounds - it is going through the healing process with the right support systems that heals wounds over time. And so today i want to zoom in on a number of support systems, how and why you must curate them, and how to overcome certain challenges related to developing support systems.

Welcome to day 31 of 40 days of Inner healing - BOUNDARIES IN HEALING.

Boundaries are guidelines that define how we want to be treated and what we are willing to accept in our lives, relationships and interactions, based on standards which we have set for ourselves.

Healthy boundaries are set based on the standards of God’s word and our identity in Christ.

It is impossible to enjoy emotional wellbeing and experience inner healing without healthy boundaries.

Healthy Personal Boundaries = Taking responsibility for your own values, standards, actions and emotions, while NOT taking responsibility for the actions or emotions of others.

In the subject of inner healing, one of the primary rules is that your heart is your responsibility.

No matter how you got here and whose fault it was, moving on from here is your sole responsibility.
