The comeback marked the Golden Knights’ fourth third-period comeback win of the postseason, the most in a single playoff run in franchise history. Eichel recorded the 60th and 61st playoff points of his career, becoming the third American-born player to reach the mark in 54 games played.

Marner continues to lead the NHL with 19 playoff points (7G, 12A), and Eichel paces the league with 15 postseason assists. Hart now ranks second in the NHL with 358 saves this postseason.

Brett Howden doubled the lead with his league-leading third shorthanded goal of the postseason before Shea Theodore made it 3–0 late in the opening period with a wrist shot from the blue line. The Anaheim Ducks answered in the second period through Mikael Granlund, but Pavel Dorofeyev restored the three-goal cushion early in the third and added another later in the frame to seal a 5–1 series-clinching victory. Carter Hart stopped 31 of 32 shots as Vegas advanced to the Western Conference Final.

Beckett Sennecke opened the scoring on the power play to give the Anaheim Ducks a 1-0 lead late in the first period, but Pavel Dorofeyev responded less than four minutes later with a power-play goal of his own to tie the game at 1-1. After a scoreless second period, Tomas Hertl buried a loose puck at 4:48 of the third frame to give the Vegas Golden Knights their first lead of the night. Anaheim answered late in regulation as Olen Zellweger scored with 3:05 remaining to force overtime. Just over four minutes into the extra period, Dorofeyev netted the game-winning goal after Jack Eichel kept the play alive in the offensive zone and found him near the crease, lifting Vegas to a 3-2 Game 5 victory. Carter Hart turned aside 34 of 36 shots and posted a .944 save percentage in the win.

Dorofeyev recorded his first career playoff overtime winner and increased his postseason goal total to seven, tying Brett Howden for the league lead. Hertl scored in back-to-back games, while Eichel collected two assists to raise his NHL-leading postseason assist total to 14, tied for the third most in a single playoff run in franchise history. Eichel also leads the league with six assists on game-tying goals this postseason. The Vegas Golden Knights secured their third consecutive overtime victory, tying the franchise record set during the 2023 postseason.

Beckett Sennecke opened the scoring with a first-period power-play goal for Anaheim before Pavel Dorofeyev answered less than two minutes later with a power-play tally of his own off a rebound created by Jack Eichel. Mikael Granlund restored the Ducks’ lead late in the opening frame, but Brett Howden tied the game again in the second period after William Karlsson threaded a pass to the slot.

Alex Killorn’s late second-period power-play goal gave Anaheim the lead for good, and Ian Moore extended the advantage early in the third with his first goal of the playoffs. Tomas Hertl pulled Vegas within one with 1:04 remaining after finishing a rebound off a Mitch Marner rush chance, but the Golden Knights could not find the equalizer as the Ducks earned a 4-3 win in Game 4 to even the Second Round series at 2-2.

Brayden McNabb extended the lead late in the first period with a shorthanded goal off a Mitch Marner rush entry, and Marner then made it 3-0 with five seconds remaining in the frame on the power play after a loose puck was sent back to him by Pavel Dorofeyev.

Marner continued his dominant night in the second period, scoring twice more to complete a natural hat trick and push Vegas ahead 5-0. His second goal came off a Brett Howden-to-Theodore setup, and his third came from behind the net off a William Karlsson feed. Marner also became the first player in Golden Knights history to record three or more points in consecutive road playoff games, while he and Brett Howden now share the team lead with six goals apiece. Mark Stone recorded his 40th career playoff assist, moving into a tie for fourth in franchise postseason history, and Theodore’s opening goal at 1:06 marked the fastest VGK goal since Round 2, Game 6 of the 2023 playoffs.

Brett Howden opened the scoring with 4:58 remaining in the first period, finishing a play off the end boards after a setup involving Mark Stone and Mitch Marner to give Vegas a 1-0 lead. Marner extended the advantage late in the second period, wiring a top-shelf slap shot from the right circle off a feed from Ivan Barbashev with 45 seconds left to make it 2-0. Utah got on the board at 7:41 of the third when Kailer Yamamoto cut the deficit to 2-1, but Colton Sissons responded just over two minutes later, burying a rebound off a Brayden McNabb shot to restore a 3-1 edge.

Marner added his second of the night on the power play with 7:51 remaining, finishing a rebound in the slot after a Shea Theodore one-timer set up by Jack Eichel to push the lead to 4-1. Cole Smith sealed the win with an empty-net goal, and Carter Hart turned aside 22 of 23 shots (.957) as Vegas closed out the series. Pavel Dorofeyev led the way with his first career playoff hat trick, including the game-tying goal in the final minute of regulation to force overtime. After a scoreless first extra frame, Brett Howden netted the shorthanded game-winner 5:28 into the second overtime, marking his third career playoff overtime goal.

Utah opened the scoring late in the first period before Dorofeyev answered on the power play with 41 seconds remaining to tie the game 1-1. The Mammoth regained the lead in the second period, but Dorofeyev struck again to even the score before Shea Theodore gave Vegas its first lead of the night at 3-2 with a wrist shot from the point. Utah responded with two third-period goals to take a 4-3 advantage before Dorofeyev completed the hat trick in the final minute of regulation to send the game to overtime.

Shea Theodore recorded a goal and an assist, including his 10th career playoff go-ahead goal — the most among active defensemen — while Jack Eichel added two assists to become the franchise leader in multi-assist playoff games (11) and move into a tie for second in postseason assists in team history (40). Carter Hart made 34 saves in the win, stopping all 12 shots he faced across both overtime periods.
