Johan Planefeldt - (Director, Cinematography) is an award-winning Swedish film maker and cinematographer with a background in fine arts. His films are recognized for having a strong visual language that explores physicality, embodiment and the alteration of states. He has directed several short films screened in international film festivals, and two web-TV series, where the award-winning series “Notruf Deutschland” was a cross-media project funded by Medienboard. He has collaborated with clients like Universal Music, Riksteatern - The Swedish National Touring Theatre & MyVideo.

In this episode of Golden Moment Johan shares his journey of becoming a renowned film maker and his deep interest in transcendental states through the vehicle of the body, movement and dance.

Mijo

Mia Celeste Dyson (born 1981) is an Australian singer, songwriter, and guitarist. She has released six studio albums. Her second, Parking Lots won the ARIA Award for Best Blues and Roots Album at the ARIA Music Awards of 2005. Since 2013, Dyson has concurrently released music under the name Dyson, Stringer & Cloher with Liz Stringer and Jen Cloher.

Mia has also toured all over Australia and internationally. Performing with other artists such as Frank Zappa’s band The Mothers Of Invention, Ani Di Franco, Deborah Conway, Ella Hooper, Eric Clapton, Jeff Lang, Stevie Nicks, Chris Isaak, Bonnie Rait as well as performing at major music festivals around the world: East Coast Blues & Roots Music Festival, West Coast Blues & Roots Festival, Falls Festival, Womadelaide, NXNE (Canada) and Edinburgh Festival (Scotland). At the ARIA Music Awards of 2003 it was nominated for the ARIA Award for Best Blues and Roots Album.

Adam Dempsey is one of few mastering engineers in Australia who specialise in the craft of audio mastering. Adam Dempsey brings a wealth of experience to Deluxe Mastering in Australia’s music capital, Melbourne.

Adam has been privileged to work with artists on thousands of national and international releases across all genres, including Gold and Platinum certified, ARIA Award, International Acoustic Music Award, Australian Blues Award, Music Victoria Award, and Jazz Bell Award winning and nominated releases, along with countless projects receiving radio airplay. He brings an ear for detail and a collaborative, “do no harm” approach to music mastering.

Having long been a supporter of independent radio and artists, a Triple R and PBS FM subscriber discounter, Adam is also a proud member discounter and supporter of Music Victoria and an Apple-accredited Apple Digital Masters provider.

Following 11 and a half years at Australia’s first independent mastering facility, initially mastering for cassette tapes, then as Senior Mastering Engineer for CD mastering and audio restoration, in 2006 Adam went freelance and began working from Jack the Bear’s Deluxe Mastering in Melbourne’s arts hub of Brunswick.

In 2011, seeing a need to further support local artists, Adam revisited community radio, co-producing and presenting Radio Roarhouse for four years, along with radio training mentoring, at Melbourne station North West FM for non-profit arts initiative Roarhouse Melbourne. Currently, Adam is also a proud business sponsor of diverse weekly show Eclectica at Melbourne’s 3MDR community radio.

Mijo

Tristan is a Melbourne based bass player with 20 years of gigging and recording under his belt.

Formerly a classically trained double bassist, Tristan now writes bassy, beat driven electronica. Centaurs plays live as one third of live electronic outfit Virtual Proximity and is also one quarter of Melbourne band Blackchords.

Introducing Ubiq and their debut four track EP called ‘The Obsolete.’ The band were formed by Tristan Courtney, the bass player in Blackchords and The Tiger & Me. Not content with two creative outlets he formed Ubiq, originally a three piece, they settled as a two piece (Tristan Courtney and Jeremy Kirk) after original member Sarah moved to New York.
