  • Ep. 30 - The one where Mike and Donovan debate the issue of slow pace of play

    It's episode 30 y'all!
The episode starts with a discussion about a revolutionary change in Donovan's approach game. All of a sudden he's Robin Hood shooting arrows at the flag stick. What is his secret to this new found success?
The episode then meanders into a brief update about Mike's putter grip change. Sounds fascinating, right? Well it is! Otherworldly! Will this change turn Mike into a god on the putting greens, or will he just be another guy who can't settle on a simple grip?  Stay tuned!
Finally, Mike and Donovan dive into the fascinatingly complex topic of pace of play. Is it fair to make high-cappers play to the same-speed as low capper? Should courses be like ski slopes? Should everyone just chill out and enjoy the day on the course, no matter how long it takes. This complex topic gets the full Mike and Donovan treatment. You won't want to miss this one!
    Enjoy!

  • Ep. 29 - The one where Mike and Donovan breakdown their Bar Run preview play day.

Oh, hi there episode 29, were so glad you could join us! Yes, it's finally here, and it's a peach. It's a little bit longer than normal, so let's break it down so you can jump to the part(s) that sound most interesting/entertaining.
Start: Meet intern Donovan. He's pretty useless.
2:40: Donovan's AC almost explodes. No, really, it's true. Turns out the crappy home warranty repair man doesn't know a damn thing about AC's.
8:35: Is Mike a soccer fan? He claims to be, but Donovan wants to talk Gold Cup and Mike is out of the loop. Donovan calls him out and things get awkward.
14:50: Golf Course Management wrap-up. Yes, you've been waiting anxiously to hear our final words on this important topic. So here it is, and it will change your life (or your golf game (hopefully!)).
22:25: If you ever get the chance to play unlimited golf at a course that has yet to open to the general public, DO IT! Mike and Donovan breakdown their preview play day at a new course in Roseburg, Oregon called Bar Run Golf Course.
Like I said, there's a lot in this episode, but its all good (or mostly good). Enjoy!

Finally, the boys break down their jam-packed golf weekend. 90 holes in 3-days! Lots to talk about, including a golf hack that Donovan neglected to share with Mike.  Mike's a little pissed off about it.

  • Ep. 27 - The one where Mike and Donovan break down golf course management phase 1: the tee box

For this episode, the boys zoom in on the tee box. The question is, how can golfers set themselves up for success  with their first shot on a hole? As all of us have experienced, a bad decision on the tee box can lead to a monster number by the end of the hole. Tune in and hear some of the things the guys think about when they are on the box. Just like you, they haven't figured it out yet, but the discussion has some good nuggets that just might help!
Also, what's with V-neck shirts. Mike doesn't get them and Donovan loves them. You don't want to miss that debate. Enjoy!

  • Ep. 25 - The one where Mike and Donovan take a hack at Elk Ridge Golf Course

There are some wonderful golf courses in and around the Portland area. Elk Ridge Golf Course is no exception. It's about an hour up the Columbia Gorge from Portland near Stevenson Washington. If you've never played, you've got to get up there!! It's a beaut! Donovan and Mike took the trek up there to try their hand at this tricky course. • Ep. 24 - The one where Donovan survives a bear scare!

You wonder off the fairway, through the rough and enter the forest. As you look up, your adrenaline rises and your eyes scan the forest for the source of the noise. Your heart rate quickens and your mind starts to play tricks. It's probably a squirrel or a deer, but what if its...

  • Ep. 21 - The one where Mike and Donovan realize they are anti-social

How much do you love playing a round of golf solo? For some of you, that might seem like a foreign idea. Golf is supposed to be a social sport. Well, in this episode, Mike and Donovan talk about the some great aspect of a round by yourself.
Also, hear how wrong and uniformed the boys (especially Mike) were about the PGA Championship.
