Gone Outdoors

While many pheasant hunters have hung it up for the season, those who are brave enough to venture out in the late season can be rewarded with some exciting bird hunting action.  Listen in as Brian Bashore talks about how to make the most out of your late season pheasant hunting trips.

This time of the year most outdoors enthusiasts are focused on drilling holes in the ice to get to the fish in their favorite body of water.  But below the Garrison Dam on the Missouri River there are still areas open to fishing from shore or a boat.  Kurt Schirado of Ultimate Outdoor Adventures TV shares insight into some of the ways to capitalize on these opportunities.

Regardless of the time of year, Ice Castle fish houses can be found at campgrounds and on the ice.  These versatile, camping/ice fishing trailers are all around.  Matt Martodam, sales manager at Outlet Recreation in Fargo shares some insight as to why they are so popular and talks about the many options that they offer.

On the border between Minnesota and South Dakota, Big Stone Lake is known for it's walleye, perch and big bluegills.  Artie Arnt, owner of Artie's Bait & Tackle in Ortonville, MN joined Scott and Kyle to provide a current ice report and preview the season ahead.

Mille Lacs Lake in central Minnesota is home to numerous resorts, lodges and a destination for many anglers all year long.  As a professional angler and guide on the big lake, Brad Hawthorne knows better than any how the early ice conditions can change and how good the fishing can be at this time of year.  He shares some insight and current conditions on this episode of Gone Outdoors!
