For the third week of our Spring Series we welcomed guest preacher, Jared Hagan.

The salvation accounts of Acts are fascinating pictures of a variety of people committing their lives to Jesus. In particular, two of these souls who lived in the ancient Roman colony of Philippi demonstrate how the good news of the gospel impacted people from opposite ends of the social spectrum. In this study, we will discuss these two conversion accounts, along with an odd encounter Paul had with an enemy of the light. Also, we will see how these accounts demonstrate important things to us about our own evangelism efforts.

For the second week of our Spring Series we welcomed guest preacher, David Maxson.

A trajectory is important whether one is throwing a baseball or launching a rocket. Simply put, we want the object to reach its intended location. Such a thought is helpful when deciding what worldview is going to be taken in life since this is what will determine the direction one goes. In this final lesson of our series on a biblical worldview, we will focus on what life looks like when it is lived in the shadow of the cross versus a life lived for one’s own glory.

For the first week of our Spring Series we welcomed guest preacher, Jonathan Carswell.

What does the word modesty bring to mind? For most, it is not a positive connotation; it might recall memories of the “don’t wear this” classes for girls, or, in other circles, it might bespeak of not quite achieving and having only a modest income. Despite what some may think, modesty is not only an important biblical concept but also essential in developing a worldview that focuses on the cross of Jesus. In this study, we will explore how the apostle Paul saw men and women living modest lives as demonstrating their allegiance to the Savior of the World.

Staying true to the course is essential to arriving at the desired destination. A wrong turn, veering left when one should have veered right, or choosing the wrong highway will likely mean never arriving at the intended place. A biblical worldview should be considered in these terms. It is easy to get on the wrong road, even when believing it is correct if the Bible is not a constant companion. This study will demonstrate how first-century Christians faced this struggle and how Christians of the modern era must maintain vigilance not to inadvertently intermix the gospel message of the cross with inferior things.

How does a person decide what is right? The answer to this question will determine how one thinks, acts, behaves, and lives. With so much riding on this answer, it is keenly important that the correct standard is used on which so much rests. This study will explore what is meant by this term, along with what it means to accept the Bible as the standard. This study will explore the strengths of this type of worldview as well as the dangers posed by its rejection.

The love of God for humanity is a wonderful and amazing theme that spans the entirety of the Bible. Reading of the Father and Son working in perfect harmony to accomplish a way of salvation should bring overwhelming gratitude to those who seek fellowship with them. What, though, about the Holy Spirit? Does the Spirit love humanity as deeply as Father and Son? This study will demonstrate that just as Father and Son, the Spirit loves humanity and through this love works in unison with Father and Son for our salvation.
