Hi everyone! In this episode, I share a recording snippet from August 2023, which was almost one year ago! I reflect on God’s faithfulness in my life over the past year as well as all He has done and all He’s continuing to do in my life. I also share some encouraging words from a book about Mother Teresa and how her story has inspired me to live a holy life that points others to Christ through the way I live out my faith and serve others. I hope you are encouraged by this episode and also see the growth that’s occurred in the past year!

Hi everyone! In this episode, I share something I wrote in a moment when I was feeling super overwhelmed and not allowing myself to be still in God’s presence in the way I desire. It’s easy to get sidetracked in our faith. It’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of life or allow doubts or inconveniences to be our excuse to not run to God first. It’s also easy to look to the world and question if this life with God is worth it. It’s easy to slip away from our faith, but I keep learning from these moments to run back to my First Love, and go back to that very moment when I first surrendered my life. I think about the moments when I feel God’s love and peace so deeply when I run to Him, and that’s something I hold onto and desire every day. There’s so much to love about the Lord that I want to fully experience. The desire to know God in His fullness is something I love, and I’m unable to do that when He is not put first in my life. Psalm 16:11 says, “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Hi everyone! In this episode, I continue on with my discussion of how life is hard, and go on to talk about how even in the midst of our hardships and sufferings, God is working all things out for good and on our behalf. The Lord is faithful and His steadfast love never ceases! I dive into the book of Lamentations and specifically chapter 3 and talk about the importance of resting in the hope we have in Jesus Christ in the midst of our hardships. God is faithful to us, even when we are not. Praise God for his steadfast love and mercy toward us, and for his gift of grace!

In this episode, I talk about some of my personal experiences and how I would allow myself to get discouraged when hard times came my way. I talk about how I learned to rely on the Lord for strength during these hard times, and even if the outcome doesn’t appear in the way I expect or desire it to, I trust that the Lord is still good and that I may not understand His plan now, but I can still trust in His goodness and faithfulness to me. I also dive into Romans 5 and Psalm 56 and share about how these trials and hardships we experience in life help produce steadfastness in our lives as we learn to put our trust in Jesus. I also share about how our hardships in life point us back to Christ as a reminder that He is the only one who will satisfy our every need, and that our contentment and happiness should not be contingent on whether good things are happening in our lives or not.

This podcast topic has been on my heart for a WHILE! In this episode, I go more in-depth into my testimony and how I was living my life before fully surrendering and giving my life to God. I talk about how I was living for myself while also trying to reap the benefits of Christianity even though I did not have a personal relationship with the Lord. I also dive into Galatians and talk about how we find true freedom in fully surrendering our lives to God and following His purpose and plan for us rather than holding onto our worldly desires, selfish goals and our sinful ways. There is SO much joy and peace to be found in allowing yourself to experience the fullness of God rather than trying to take from the church, only go to God when you need something or when it’s convenient for you. True devotion to Christ and truly living and loving Him is where you find true freedom and get to experience His true love and power!

I am so excited to have my friend Jordan Taylor on the Good and Faithful Podcast! In this episode, Jordan shares his testimony and how he came to know the Lord. He discusses his experience in homelessness, childhood trauma and navigating young adulthood as well as all that God has provided for him since him committing his life to Jesus Christ! Jordan talks about the nonprofit he helped launch, Pour Over Love: a ministry that helps children in Atlanta who are experiencing homelessness. I GOT BAPTIZED!!! Praise God! Although I waited over a year to get baptized, I’m so incredibly grateful for the Lord’s timing and how He orchestrated my baptism so well. In this episode, I share about my baptism, the reason why I waited so long to get baptized, how the evening went and also about how I was baptized when I was young and why I decided to get baptized for real this time. Thank you Jesus for saving my life and that I was able to display that publicly!

In this episode, I share about my experiences in allowing my weaknesses, guilt and shame to consume my thoughts and hinder my ability and desire to run to the Lord for love and strength. It’s easy to allow ourselves to get caught up in our weaknesses, hardships, doubts, flaws and failures. Praise God that He is almighty and all-powerful and that we can run to Him for strength and trust that He will be glorified through our weaknesses as we give those to Him. I also share about the importance, joy, peace and freedom that is found in boasting in the Lord rather than ourselves or anything we can try to do in our own strength. What a freeing feeling it is to know we can’t and don’t have to go through life on our own, and that we have access to God through our Lord Jesus Christ!

Hi everyone! In this episode, I talk about how I’ve been in a rut lately regarding my faith and personal life and how I have been trying to work through by relying on the Lord for strength! This hasn’t been the first time that I’ve experienced discouragement and doubt; in the past, I used to cope by ignoring my feelings and my turning to worldly passions and desires. Now, I’ve learned to run to God in the midst of my hardships and pray and trust that He will bring me through. I pray this can be encouraging to you no matter what you are experiencing in life or whatever season you are in!

Hi everyone! In this episode, I talk about how our current afflictions and present sufferings to not compare to the future glory that will be revealed to us through Jesus Christ, and Romans 8 reminds us of this. I read one of my previous posts about how I am thankful for what I have been through since my previous experiences and sufferings have helped shape me to be more like Christ, have empathy for others and allow God to be glorified through it all! I pray this message can encourage you as you go about your life and endure in these times.
