This episode we talk about Sunil Narine, a man on a constant journey to perfect his T20 game. To do that I found a writer as obsessed with him as I am, Karthikeya Manchala. We talk about chucking, length, box of tricks, batting Trinidad and how he hides the ball up his butt.

This episode we look at something slightly new to cricket, scouting. And in order to do that, I only went and found someone who started their own cricket scouting magazine, Ronan Alexander. On this episode, we look at a few different talented players, but really what we’re doing is breaking down how we need to look at cricket going forward. Where players fit in, what their skill sets are, not specifically batter bowl or rounder, but where they can be used in different kinds of games. You may find a new favourite player too.

This week we talk about cricket and baseball, to discuss pitchers who can't hit, number elevens who can't bat and how baseball produced their first great all-rounder in 100 years. I brought on one of baseball’s greatest writers to chat about it, Ben Lindbergh. We discuss soft tossers, Babe Ruth, number 11s, Imran Khan, designated hitters and the two-way all-round unicorn that is Shohei Ohtani.

Ok, brace yourselves, this is the tale of Jarrod's broken arm. Some more details about the actual incident are at the start of the 13/08 Greenroom podcast, this mostly entails the trip to the hospital. BIG CONTENT WARNING HERE for lots of injury descriptions, and how cramps really just made the whole thing worse. Jarrod is very lucky to be on the road to recovery and will get full use of his arm back. - To support the podcast please go to our Patreon page. https://www.patreon.com/user?u=32090121. This episode we talk about Cricket South Africa's Social Justice and Nation-Building hearings, which is their attempt to let past players tell their stories about racist treatment they’ve received. So I got on Lungani Zama, a journalist who was also once a player. We chat about stereotypes, opportunity, old boys, quotas, rugby, and what it's like to be chosen only to field from third man to third man.

We're hoping to be back very soon with new episodes, but for now, here is one of our favourites. Andy Balbirnie is the current all-format Irish captain, steering them through a recent series against South Africa. Here, Andy discusses his rise through to the captaincy, his current Test record, and what he learnt at Middlesex under the coaching of Chris Rogers.
Thanks again for all your patronage and messages of support for Jarrod, we'll be back shortly.
