It was teased a few months ago, the thought that we would bring mini-podcasts to this feed, usually recorded individually, and hopefully kept to a shorter amount of time. Jacob watched a classic "TV cart" movie, The Truman Show starring Jim Carrey, Ed Harris, and Laura Linney. This isn't your typical review though, Jacob spends very little time on any of the technical aspects of the movie, instead, he talks about what he thinks the true religious allegories are behind the film, most critics bring up the creation story from Genesis. Jacob disagrees. He also makes a comparison between this movie and Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal (1958), which may have been the first time that has ever happened in history.

Back in August of 2021, we reviewed Shaolin Soccer. Jacob wondered if that movie was a parody of sports movies, Tate and Sage responded with confusion, stating that it obviously wasn't. Jacob decided that it was finally time to pick a parody movie and he went with one of his favorites, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story starring John C. Reilly, Jenna Fischer, Time Meadows, and Kristen Wiig. Opinions were mixed on this one but they rundown everybody's favorite moments, read some lyrics from the movie (and from Bob Dylan), and much more!

We start this guest episode off by briefly recapping Jacob's weekend in Austin with Tate, and get to know our special guest Kayle a little better, both as a movie person and as a soccer fan. He then picks The Woman in the Window but that is quickly shot down, but luckily, Kayle brought a backup, Nocturnal Animals, starring Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Shannon, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. When we get into the movie, opinions are a bit divided, claims are made about Amy Adams' acting ability, a couple of people take a side in the Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift beef (obviously choosing Jake over Taylor), and Tate and Kayle think they make a groundbreaking point....did they?
