It has been said before, but this episode was largely off the rails, at least in the beginning and at the end, in the middle, we did actually talk about this....movie? Yeah, it's a movie. Even though IMDb says it's a series but Netflix plays it consecutively so it's a movie. It is Jacob's pick and the graphic designer and a friend of the podcast gave Jacob this week's pick and boy oh boy, we did not enjoy it. But we did have fun with it.

Tate decided that we have been watching too many known to be good movies. He takes a risk this episode and pick's 2011's Melancholia starring Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Alexander Skarsgard, and Kiefer Sutherland. This movie ends up being very polarizing, this time with Tate alone on an island, fighting off Jacob, but mainly Sage for the majority of the episode.

There's a whole lot going on in this episode, Jacob may or may not have been "tuned up" after going to Dueling Pianos, Tate gives a rundown on how his January is going, and Sage picks 1968's Once Upon a Time in the West starring Henry Fonda, Charles Bronson, and Claudia Cardinale. We break down the whole movie from the best scenes, characters, the fantastic score composed by Ennio Morricone, and much more. There is also a bet made at the end of the episode that could have at least month-long dire consequences for either Jacob or Sage.

We attempt to record our first live and in-person podcast for the first time in a long time. Unfortunately, it did not work out well but we did get a prereview in as well as watch the movie together. We were also joined by Kaden for the first part and got a score from him. On to the pick. Jacob has been trying to convince Tate and Sage to watch Casablanca outside of the podcast since he watched it. They wouldn't so Jacob turned his pick into this 1942 classic starring Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, and Claude Rains. Tate and Sage were able to ask a point that Jacob had never thought of before. Was Renault a French Patriot waiting for his time to make his movie or was he an opportunistic corrupt official who ends up doing the right thing in the end? This and much more.
