This week we review 2006's Children of Men. This movie ends up getting big-time positive reviews from all three hosts. In this episode, we get into the religious allegory, Jacob puts his Catholic hat on and reads a few passages from The Bible, Tate didn't like the reveal, and our anonymous third co-host feels pretty happy for picking a good movie. It's another long one but hopefully filled with insightful and entertaining information.

THE MCU IS BACK! Our anonymous third co-host is not though. We have called in our Superhero Correspondent, Kayle Lowdermilk once again! Sure the MCU has been back on Disney+ for the last few months, and we cover those shows in the first half. This was recorded before the season finale of Loki. After the quick thoughts on the three Disney+ movies, we finally get to reviewing 2021's first entry and the first entry in about two years into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Black Widow. The guys do some serious gushing over Scarlett Johannson, David Harbour, and Florence Pugh. Jacob wishes he did more gushing about Florence Pugh. Before we really get into our review, Jacob points out an incredible Stranger Things Easter Egg that nobody in the world is talking about. What was up with the lightning bugs and why couldn't Jacob think of the word firefly? Stay tuned to find out what each of us uses to pump ourselves up.

This episode is in person! However, it is the last one for the foreseeable future. Back to the episode, the intro is one of the most low-energy segments in podcast history, like all podcasts, not just ours. On this guest special, we are joined by a friend in real life and now a friend of the podcast, Ellsbeth. We are also now officially recording remotely as the three of us live in different states, Wyoming, Colorado, and Texas. Ellsbeth picks the second Jimmy Stewart film, 1954's Rear Window. This is a long episode. Surprisingly, the majority is spent actually talking about the movie. Ellsbeth was somehow able to keep your three favorite podcasters on track. We talk about the brilliance of Hitchcock, the stunningness of Grace Kelly, how great the dialogue was, and much more. At the end Ellsbeth waxes poetic about the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, it's something you will definitely want to stick around for.

In the highest GD4AM rated movie so far, Tate picks 1997's L.A. Confidential. This episode gets a bit contentious between our anonymous third co-host and surprisingly, not Jacob, but Tate instead. Once that all calms down we dive into how good the writing is, get a firm grasp on everything that went down, and much more.

To start the review off we all agree - Roman Polanski gets a big F U. But we continue on and discuss the book and real-life characters this movie was based on and touch on who we think the best private investigators are.
