August 20, 2025 Time to clean up my mess, and lots more.
Today I am exactly where I need to be to make some very sensible decisions about how I can move forward and clean up my mess. Reason being is that I’ve been in a bit of a hole lately and yet even with all the reflective work I do, I still get stuck in my head and with that I have unfortunately attracted a bit of conflict.

So an unravelling has occurred and with that my mind feels a lot more at ease and I can feel good vibes returning and I am conscious that I am attracting a lot more positive creative energy.

Acceptance Therapy has been a big focus for me this week as I build on my Mindful Practice and specifically, working through my workshop content and supporting research.

An update on my next festival: The Ska and British Music Festival ‘25 is on at The Rosemount Hotel North Perth. Big thanks to Nick Compton of Six by Sixty Agency for his amazing support helping me with some pro marketing tips and recourses.

A new band project I have is called OUT OUT, the name of my new band.

With this weeks can do attitude, we aim to help as many people as possible be open to a broader sense of self and help unravel some of our preset hardwiring.
Full disclosure I had a surf this week so pretty chilled but note that this is the fourth time I have recorded this episode, so hopefully this one will land as positive for you as it did for me putting this episode together.
I expand on ‘Getting Close to the Start Line’ a workshop that I am developing into an online learning platform, it's basically sharing simple ways of overcoming setbacks. I break down the SWOT concept we use and emphasise the W ; What else can I do, Who do I know that could help teach me and so on?
We chat about creativity and the need to stop and ponder to let all those creative thoughts come to life and finally we mention the up and coming Ska and British Music Festival 2025. This is my 9th festival and my last Little Pedro show and its on 23/8/25 at The Rosemount Hotel in North Perth Western Australia.

Dad can you get the washing off the line. This message from my daughter Millie met me in the kitchen this morning and it prompted me to write an impromptu song and put it out on socials. Nothing to do with this podcast really other than do something creative each day.

Today we reviewed the second workshop 'Getting close to the start line'. We had written feedback, face to face meetings and a Dr of psychology did a report on the workbook for me, so we have progressed so far in such a short time.

I mention a new collaboration to bring this on line with a learning platform. Lots of new beginnings to share and a big summary of simple mindful routines.

Last weekend we put on the first of a series of workshops called Getting Close to the Start Line. It was a great success and feedback from those who attended very enlightening and positive. So what did I learn, well don’t overwhelm people with too much in a short time.
Plus and let people reflect, be funny during the presentation and people notice when you are authentic. I will say depending on people’s situation, they reacted differently but again it was a wonderful experience.

We do it all again on 21/6/25 so am sure there’s more to share soon.

Can you hear me at the back?
Massive shout out to everyone who supported Little Pedro at Settlers Tavern Margaret River. A quick surf report on my three sessions in the south-west on my 9’6” Mactavish Fireball, plus a quick overview of the chat at Gracie’s Store Gracetown. I’m so blessed up with inspiration, motivation and moving gradually forward and exceeding my own expectation of creative output.

Swings and Roundabouts make it into my Burning Ducks segment and the start of a new joke idea. Then there is the culling of my old clothes from my wardrobe. On another note Andrea Thompson and I are working on a new speaking and performance show and she has been so inspiring for me with her business prowess and life experience. I am so pleased to be in her world. Watch this space 31/7/25 for A good way to clear a room at Lyric Underground.
