Have you ever hid from a camera?
Bumped into a friend and said sorry for how you look?
Have you asked someone to delete a photo of you?Your face is not offensive and requires apologising for.
As with all things there is nuance here and I know there are times that our appearance could influence a situation; such as a job interview.
But the habit of apologising for looking rough when bumping into a friend in the supermarket or leaping away from a camera because we haven't put make up on is awful.
You are not more worthy or of greater value when you have brushed your hair or spent 5 hours putting make up on.
I recall a trend a few years back where people 'bravely' showed themselves on social media without make up.
And in todays episode we really look into what is going on with people, their confidence (how confidence is misinterpreted) and ask you to pay attention to how you view yourself and your physical appearance.
Learning to value yourself and your personality above your appearance is liberating.
