TV Party! We have our own version of Black Flag's famous TV Party this episode and stick to TV shows you should check out. Santos gets down in his usual literary fashion and recommends Olive Kitteridge. Eric talks Fargo season 3, Better Call Saul season 3, and Elementary. Santos gets even more obscure with the Amazon Original "Fortitude." Eric brings it back to Earth with the amazing revival (after a 10-year hiatus) of Samurai Jack. Santos can't let it lie in pop culture and throws a powdered wig on to talk John Adams from HBO. We talk the poetry and prose of Deadwood and our hopes for the Deadwood movies. Enjoy!

The exciting conclusion of the Great Cooktop War of '16/'17. Santos tells a cautionary tale about grilling INSIDE your garage. We both pick the Korean zombie thriller Train To Busan, Eric talks the new podcast S-Town, and the sci-fi novel Six Wakes by Mur Lafferty. Santos schools fools on how to make a proper omlette and keeps trying to make Bronson happen.

Netflix has been posting gobs of new series and content. We talk about the ones that are worth your time and a few shows and movies that aren't. Special bonus not on the show: Skip "Frontier" starring Jason Momoa (aka Khal Drogo.) It's hot garbage. We also eat some amazing salumi from Salumi in Seattle.

Like it or not, 2016, went down. Few are huge fans, but we're going to do a run-down of our own personal highlights, because even though Bowie (and many others) called it in, as will happen, many others carried on. In no particular order, here are some of the things that straightened us out this year: shocking, I know, but another new podcast called Startup (it's riveting), Dinosaur Jr's new record, The Witch, YT series Critical Role, the new re-releases of every Crowded House record with copious bonus tracks, FX's amazing new drama Atlanta, Pierce Brown's conclusion to the Red Rising trilogy Morning Star, and last but FAR from least, the majestic French Dip sandwich. Happy New Year to you all, thanks for listening, can't wait to uncover great new finds in 2017.

It's been awhile since we spent the proper time on our favorite topic of Crime, so here's an hour devoted to the grime we love the most. Among topics visited: Crimetown podcast, a revisit to My Favorite Murder, a podcast about an infamous child disappearance in MN called In the Dark, a doc on NYPD corruption in the golden days called The Seven Five, the graphic novel Sex Criminals, Thomas Perry's Forty Thieves, and yet another podcast devoted to the Boston Strangler murders called, wait for it, Stranglers. Enjoy you heathens.
