Picasso said that "good artists borrow, great artists steal." Somewhere in between there is the artist that falls in love with a story so much that they need to re-live it again in another place and time. That's what we're talking about here today, our favorite reinterpretations. We start out with some chili and chianti and move (not so) quickly into: The Ten Thousand by Paul Kearny, Steve Martin in Roxanne, O Brother Where Art Thou, Metallica's One, The Cure's Killing an Arab, Bruce Springsteen's The Ghost of Tom Joad, and Miller's Crossing.

In 60 years, no one is going to make a differentiation between 2015 and 2016, so here's our time capsule to all the robot people listening in 2075 so they know the shit that was correct in 2015. Feels like the books could use a little attention, been awhile since we dedicated a whole episode, so we take some time this episode and talk about three of our picks that we believe are modern classics. Titles include Cormac McCarthy's masterpiece All the Pretty Horses, Wonder Boys by Michael Chabon, George Saunders' Tenth of December, Joe Abercrombie's The Blade Itself, The Guards by Ken Bruen and John Scalzi's Old Man's War. It's winter time, time to hole up and start reading and you could do a whole lot worse than starting with this list.

Tackling what could be an endless topic here, one we're certain to circle back to, and that's underrated movies. Films that we believe, for whatever reason, didn't receive their due. Included here, The Leftovers, Project Greenlight, Sexy Beast, Passion Fish, Moon, Melancholia, Alphaville, The Imitation Game, Steve Jobs and Man on Fire. 

Grab a drink and put a buzz on with us as we dig in to some of our favorite foods and drinks. Join us as we get into (literally) a few of our favorite dishes. Eric has a killer food hack for a dessert that everyone loves, along with a massive discovery of a recipe we've been trying to duplicate for years and Santos brings in a few home cookin' faves. Mix in a couple of bad ass cocktails and we're there. 

Stumpisode time. This go around we look to confound each other with a TV series that the other hasn't seen. We get kind of high-brow with some picks like Rick and Morty, My Name is Earl and  Reno 911, but then keep it real with The History Channel's Vikings and Happy Valley. Sundance TV's Rectify also makes a strange appearance here. Competition can drive you to do some weird shit.
