When the Syrophoenician woman encounters Jesus, she displays strong faith and perseverance and is rewarded for it.

When His disciples are in fear for their lives, Jesus comes to their rescue and gives us all some advice to follow!

Individualism is fine, but Jesus tells us that we are to love one another, help one another, and make believers of all nations.

In today's reading, Jesus multiplies the fish and the loaves of bread to feed 5000 people. 

He performs the miracle, but its the disciples who feed the people.
