Sometime we reach moments in life where we don't have anything left. The Finnish term Sisu refers to those times when it seems like you can't do anything more, but you push through anyway. Like a force of will or fire inside, Sisu is a unique concept that may give you faith and confidence in the idea that no matter how hard things might be, you have the power to overcome within you. Enjoy!

For this episode of 3, 2, 1, Go! I introduce a new option for the firs tpart of the exercise. With an opportunity to see the world through clearer eyes, I want to take time to identify things I'd like to see or experience sometime in the near future. It's easy to tell ourselves we don't have the time or funds to go on adventures, but it doesn't take much to see or do something or somewhere you haven't before. I encourage listeners to participte in this exercise, and thank you for listening. Enjoy!

Do you know people that seem chill and unbothered all the time? They're not checked out or reserved, but simply seem to have infinite reserves of chill. Ataraxia is a concept that dates back to ancient Greece, and defines this state or mindset well. In this episode, I talk a bit about this concept and why it might be key to having a good morning on purpose. Enjoy!

After my morning meditations sessions I often try to find time for introspection while I sit for a few extra minutes or go about basic tasks. I'll often find something interesting or intriguing to talk about between then and the point during or after a walk to fire up a recording device and speak record this podcast every day. While some days this is very challenging, it really helps to parse out what I think about a myriad of topics, and often gives me the space to focus on work or study for most of the rest of the day. I hope that my process and some wisdom from John Locke can inspire this habit in you as well. Enjoy!

Today I participated in a call I join weekly with 10 friends online. I've also conducted two zoom meetings, 1 phone call, several text chats, and of course been on social media. Despite the access many people have to this level of communication, many people are suffering from loneliness. In today's episode, I review the surgeon general's call to action around this epidemic, and provide some personal insights on this topic. Enjoy!

For a curious and inquisitive person like myself, it was tough to go for so long without being able to interact visually with my surroundings to an adequate level. Now that I can see clearly with both eyes again, I am taking time to exploring possible adventures and sights to experience - things that inspire a sense of wonder and awe when you see them. In this episode I talk about these concepts, provide some interesting awesome things in our world, and explore some wonders of something we all have - a human brain. Enjoy!
