. As we come into contact with the these fears and trials, we may try to fix them ourselves, but we have to remember that God is greater than all of it. Hezekiah realized that God has provided for His people in the past so why would he leave them. When we look at the present fear we must remember the past blessings that God has provided for us. Hezekiah voices that he does not want to be saved just to be saved but by saving the Israelites the earth will know that He is the one true God. His posture of prayer was not selfish, it was God-centered. We need to remember in prayer that Our goal in prayer is not to benefit ourselves in any way, but for God’s glory to be proclaimed throughout our life.
