After the birth of Christ, God decides to send angels to make an announcement about the birth of His Son and our Savior.  What’s interesting about this birth announcement is that we need to take note of to whom the angels speak.  When Christ is born and God decides to give the announcement about His Son, notice that the Lord decides that the only people who will get the announcement are some shepherds in a field.  The fact that God makes the announcement to shepherds has much to say to us as God’s people. The announcement is given to the shepherds but the angels proclaim that it is good news for all people.  Listen to the good news of this announcement and be reminded of why we celebrate the birth of Christ.
