The 1st Century Jews had 3 different interpretations about divorce:
1 - A man could divorce his wife if he found anything at all displeasing in her
2 - A man could divorce his wife for the above reason, plus if he found someone else more attractive
3 - A man could divorce his wife only if she had been unfaithful to him
What is the purpose of the Pharisees' test?
