  • LIVING COVID SMART COVID is wildly spreading around the world.
LIVING COVID SMART COVID is wildly spreading around the world.

COVID is wildly spreading around the world, with the new strains being more infectious. It is time for individuals and organizations to take action rather than waiting for governments to provide intervention. After all, it's your health and your loved ones' life at stake.

1.Rapid test kit: Frequent and regular testing is a key to prevent the spread of the virus. Just checking temperature is not practical. When you have a fever, it's too late. People who are not yet experiencing any symptoms are also spreading the virus. Early detection leads to a fast and smooth recovery.
With the rapid test kit at home, test your family members at least once a week and anyone coming in close contact with you. It only takes 10 minutes. Some people argue that the rapid test kid is not 100%. It's your choice between 0% and 95% protection. Which one would you choose? When you regularly test, over time, you reach 99% accuracy.

2.Masks: Masks are not a fashion statement nor are just to fulfill the government mandate. When you correctly wear the right masks, it will protect you. Check the filtration level and buy at least 95% or higher. You don't need FDA certification as they tend to be more expensive and reserved for the medical profession.
KF94, a Korean standard, KN95, a Chinese standard are suitable substitutes. If you are wearing it for a long time, a folding type is more comfortable than a cup type. Make sure they fit snuggly around your nose and cheek and under the chin, tightly sealing your face. Tighten or loosen the ear loop to have a tight fit.
You can use high-quality disposable masks multiple times but make sure to wash them thoroughly with soap and warm water by rubbing between your hands and dry well. Hand dry under direct sunlight or use the hairdryer to dry and sanitize properly.

3.Sanitizing: Handwashing with soap and water is the best method. However, when not possible, use at least 60% alcohol-based hand sanitizers.

4.Electrostatic Air Purifiers: Being in an enclosed space sharing the same air for a prolonged period is a high risk. Look for an electrostatic air purifier that kills viruses and bacteria by passing the air through high electric voltage, zapping them. A HEPA filter is excellent for allergens but not sufficient for viruses and bacteria as they filter but do not kill viruses and bacteria.
    COVID Vaccine

To vaccinate a large population, we need a considerable quantity of vaccines, syringes, and nitrile gloves besides more clinics, nurses, and logistics. Due to the shortage of all of the above, the administration is going to take time. In the meantime, please follow the COVID Smart rules above until at least 75% of the population is vaccinated.

  • Resilience Parenting- Raising Resilient Children in an Era of Detachment and Dependence by Chris and Holly Santillo.
Resilience Parenting: Raising Resilient Children in an Era of Detachment and Dependence
    by Chris and Holly Santillo.

Your children will face many challenges in the years ahead, so you want to raise them to be resilient—strong, adaptable, and able to recover. It is your mission to empower your son or daughter to cultivate a functional and fulfilling life. This essential handbook will help you achieve that goal. In Resilience Parenting, martial arts instructors Chris and Holly Santillo share the insights they have gained as teachers and parents. They offer positive alternatives to lecturing, bribing, and punishing; focusing instead on three Pillars: Learning, Integrity, and Service. By applying these powerful principles, you can inspire your children to develop the independence they need to succeed as adults while renewing their connection to family and community. Whether you are raising a teenager or just starting your family, the methods prescribed in this book will help you unlock your greatest potential as a parent.

In an interview on your program Chris and Holly can discuss:

•How to empower your son or daughter to adapt and overcome all of life's challenges.
•How to effectively communicate with your children.
•Teaching the skills necessary for children to interact with the world with success.
•How your children can operate in life from a place of integrity and service rather than bribes and punishments.
•How to inspire children to see the world as an adventure, rather than a series of impossible challenges.
    •and much more!

"Darby Fox is a true champion of her field. Rethinking Your Teenager illuminates the complex lives of teenagers in an in-depth yet accessible way.
This book is a gift not only for parents but for anyone seeking to connect with and understand teens."
—Kim Messier, wife of NHL hockey legend Mark Messier

"Darby Fox reconciles both the practical and spiritual aspects of what it means to be a parent in the 21st century.
This is not a parenting book. This is a manual for a more uplifting future."
—Habib Sadeghi, DO, author of The Clarity Cleanse

"Parents, both new and old, will find much of value in these pages."
    —Kirkus Review

"This is the book that the nurse should hand new parents at the hospital. It is an articulate, straightforward, and approachable guidebook, which can be easily read in just a handful of hours, on transforming the bundle of baby into a productive adult."
    —Martial Journal

"Chris is fighting the twin evils of our era: excessive fear for our kids, and busybodies trying to enforce it."
—Lenore Skenazy, president of Let Grow, author of "Free-Range Kids," and founder of the Free Range-Kids movement

"Resilience Parenting provides a new twist on time-tested tactics that will help us be better and do better. Read this book!"
—Connor Boyack, president of the Libertas Institute and author of "Passion-Driven Education: How to Use Your Child's Interests to Ignite a Lifelong Love of Learning"

"This is a superb and practical book, founded on years of teaching and parenting. The principles in this book provide the life tools missing in most homes and classrooms today. Learn them, then use them."
—Steven P. Bucci, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense

"People say there is no handbook when it comes to raising kids. Not true anymore. Resilience Parenting is it if you want to raise kids who can handle anything! I've worked with children for thirty years, and I wish I had the wisdom contained in this book when I started. It would have made me a far better parent and teacher."
—Mark Goblowsky, host of the podcast Strength Through the Struggle

"As a Special Forces officer and lifelong student of leadership and training, I have spent a lot of time and effort trying to divine what makes a person more resilient. Chris and Holly Santillo's book Resilience Parenting masterfully distills what they have learned in over twenty years of teaching martial arts and parenting and conveys those lessons in an easy to understand and entirely implementable way. As someone who has entrusted my children to their training--and who personally knows their three boys--I can attest that what they do works. I give his book my strongest possible recommendation."
—Roger D. Carstens, Lieutenant Colonel US Army Special Forces (retired)

"We are at a crossroads in our country. We either continue down the path we are on--creating generations of kids who lack mental fortitude, emotional resilience, and physical health, leading our country to financial, moral, and social ruin--or we pivot and begin to create the conditions for our children to grow into mature, healthy, free, and fully functioning adults. Resilience Parenting is a road map toward the latter. I hope enough parents are smart enough to pick it up."
—Michael D. Ostrolenk, MA, MFT, Master Coach and Program Director of the SEALFIT Unbeatable Mind Academy

"As parents and educators, we all want to guide our children to be strong, independent, and resilient. This book is a must-read for all. Highly recommend!"
—Chip Townsend, 14x ISKA World Champion, 7x World Record Holder

"Resilience Parenting is an approach grounded in truth that lays out a clear actionable road map to grow the potential of your child. Far more than superficial advice, its approach creates sustainable pillars for your child to build their life upon. If I could only recommend one parenting book for someone to read, this would be it!"
—Christopher Rappold, Executive Director of Team Paul Mitchell

"I have known Chris and Holly for a long time. I have watched them teach self-respect and self-mastery in the dojo and then successfully transfer that knowledge to parenting three boys. I know that they have been successful because I have seen those boys come in for immunizations aware and unafraid, get the shots without crying and leave proud of themselves. This type of parenting is worth emulating."
—Dr. Jacki Arnold, MD, FAAP, pediatrician and parent

Holly has a degree in Anthropology from Williamette University. They are the epitome of the Latin phrase "Mens sana in corpore sano," which means "A healthy mind in a healthy body."

Having strong backgrounds in Martial Arts with Chris being the founder and Head Instructor at Potomac Kempo in Alexandria, Virginia, and Holly being a Senior Instructor, they have managed to develop the principles of Martial Arts into a cohesive parenting methodology.

They believe that children (and parents) with broader horizons and an open mind can sow the seeds for future generations of confident, strong, and resilient adults.

Now, you can find them gliding through the Siberian steppes on the Trans-Siberian Railway, visiting the buzzing markets of Samarkand on the Silk Road, or wondering at the vastness of the Gobi Desert in Mongolia. They have decided to live a nomadic life and explore the world with their three boys in order to bring back memories, ideas, experiences, and a fresh view on life.

  • Curing the Cancer in U. S. Healthcare: StatesCare and Market-Based Medicine
"A must-read for physicians, patients, and policymakers alike. Equipped with his vast experience as a pediatric cardiologist, clinician, teacher, researcher, and policy adviser, Dr. Waldman approaches our critically ill healthcare system as he does a critically ill patient. He identifies the root causes of the problems and proposes a workable cure that puts patients first. This is a quick and superb read packed full of information and insight."
̶—Kristin S. Held, M.D. President-Elect, Association of American Physicians and Surgeons

When it comes to our health care, we all want the same thing: the care we need, when we need it from people we choose at a price we can afford. Americans are confused about how to achieve this.
Why must all Americans have the same healthcare structure? If Californians want a single-payer system if Texans want market-based medicine, and if New Yorkers want Obamacare, why should Washington say no to 86 million Americans?
In an interview on your program Dr. Waldman will speak about:
•Washington and insurance companies practice more medicine than doctors.
•What we can do to cure cancer devouring our healthcare system.
•Why StatesCare is the answer to our healthcare nightmares.
•How a market-based healthcare system with a safety net can work for all Americans.
In Curing the Cancer in U.S. Healthcare, Dr. Deane Waldman delivers an eye-
opening look at healthcare today including the shocks he experienced while caring for thousands of children with heart problems. He studied and trained at Yale, Chicago Medical School (MD), Mayo Clinic, Northwestern, Harvard, and Anderson Graduate Schools (MBA).
Discover how Americans can save money and restore our freedom to choose our healthcare.
“Healing with a Loving Heart: Discover the Power of Energy Healing” is filled with true stories that will wow audiences and show where there was healing when all hope seemed lost. It addresses a wide range of diseases, shows why ALS does not have to be a terminal illness, and gives insights into the autism spectrum, delayed brain trauma, the use of energy healing to help the body accept a newly transplanted organ, and how some illnesses respond well to alternative solutions when modern medicine has no effect. This encouraging book also discusses the process of healing, healer-doctor collaboration, and how to stay healthy, as well as what one can do if given a certain diagnosis. There is even a chapter on the latest coronavirus and COVID-19.

  • Sierra Nevada makes a difference fighting the food insecurity crisis during the holiday season By Sierra Nevada Brewing Company
Sierra Nevada makes a difference fighting the food insecurity crisis during the holiday season
    By Sierra Nevada Brewing Company

Food insecurity is rapidly sweeping across our great nation, and those of us who can stand up and fight will undoubtedly want to stand with companies such as Sierra Nevada Brewing Company who have donated $1 Million to Community Nonprofits during this pandemic, and they're just getting started! The holiday season is a time of giving unprecedented by any other event during a year. This is especially important to remember during this year when the COVID19 Pandemic has quelled our celebrations and impacted roughly 20% of U.S. households. It has hampered abilities to pay bills even as important as mortgage and rent and is leaving a record number of Americans facing unemployment, decreased wages, increased expenses for essential items as they become demanded commodities, healthcare, and childcare. Some have even been left without a home for the holidays. Efforts across the nation that Sierra Nevada has partnered with include Rethink (New York), Community Servings (Boston), Common Pantry(Chicago), Sol Collective (Sacramento), #HashtagLunchbag (Los Angeles), Second Harvest (San Jose), Del Mar Village Association (San Diego), SF New Deal (San Francisco), Carolina Farm Trust (Charlotte), and Second Helpings (Atlanta).

In August, Sierra Nevada unveiled its new program centered around the release of Dankful IPA, a generously hoppy beer launched to help the brewery raise awareness for a variety of nonprofits working to support local communities. A hoppy West Coast-style IPA, Dankful is now available at retail stores across the country. The beer is 7.4% ABV with 55 IBU’s and resinous flavor notes of pine and tropical fruit. Regardless of the purchase, the company has committed to this $1 million pledge to help! On your program, Robin will discuss:

o Sierra Nevada's Goal to support communities and what has allowed them to become so agile in this pursuit.
o How Sierra Nevada Brewing Company is providing immediate support to Nonprofits who do incredible things for their communities.
o How Philanthropy has been brewed into the company culture since it's humble beginnings.
o How Sierra Nevada has contributed to help ramp up testing and provide necessary tools to Medical Centers for COVID19
    o Much more

  • I looked in the mirror and what did I see..A Jewel
I looked in the mirror and what did I see..A Jewel, but a little old lady peering back at me with bags and sags, and wrinkles and wispy white hair and I asked my reflection, how did you get there? You once were straight and vigorous and now you’re stooped and weak, when I tried so hard to keep you from becoming an antique. My reflection’s eyes twinkled as she solemnly replied you’re looking at the gift wrap and not the jewel inside. A living gem and precious, o unimagined worth unique and true the real you. The only you on Earth. The years that spoil your gift-wrap with other things more cruel, should purify and strengthen and polish up that jewel. So focus your attention on the inside, no the out. On being kinder, wiser, more content, and more devout. Then when you gift-wrap’s stripped away your jewel will be set free, to radiate God’s glory through all eternity.
