What is the difference between being in the lead and being in control?

Today I interview one of the best-known names in football, Mike Lombardi, and we’ll discuss the answer to that question.

Lombardi began his NFL career in 1984 as an area scout under Bill Walsh of the San Francisco 49ers and then continued as a NFL executive with the Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles, and Oakland Raiders.

Lombardi’s book, Gridiron Genius: A Master Class in Winning Championships and Building Dynasties in the NFL, was published in September 2018, and he hosts his own podcast, "The GM Shuffle."

Listen in as Lombardi talks about Super Bowl wins, what sets great leaders apart from average ones, and what the common denominator is to success. We also discuss the difference between healthy and unhealthy cultures and how lessons learned in football can apply to everyday situations.

Chad, who has twenty-three years of coaching experience in the NBA as an assistant coach, joins the Bucks after spending the 2018-19 season as an assistant coach with the Memphis Grizzlies.

In his first season as head coach in 2017-18, Richey guided the Paladins to a school record-tying 23-win season that included a then-school-record of twenty-two regular season victories. Under his leadership, the 2018-19 Paladins reached new heights with a school-record twenty-five wins, including victories over defending national champion and eighth-ranked Villanova and 2018 NCAA Final Four participant Loyola Chicago.
