We all have (or will have) seasons in life where we may encounter the debilitating emotion of shame in some way. Sometimes shame occurs from something that happened TO us, while sometimes we feel shame because of something we've DONE. Either way, it's important to heal from our shame so we can truly live the life we're intended to live (and not wallow in our disappointment of ourselves or fall victim to others).
Whether you're married, dating, have friends or family relationships, I promise you this one thing (whether you know it or not) is the basis for whether or not your relationships are thriving. It may not be exactly what you would expect, but it's a game changer if we can all be intentional to incorporate into our relationships more actively.
If you're not a Swiftie, this is less about Taylor and more about a circumstance in her life and career that was considered a worse-case scenario. Because of some decisions and perspective shifts she made, she turned the worst thing into the single most pivotal and successful path she could have ever dreamed of. We're talking about overcoming and shifting our minds in hard times to see a path forward.
Worry is something we all have struggled with at one point or another. But what happens if we shift our thoughts to something more hopeful, because worrying doesn't actually help anything, does it? What if it all worked out? How would that change how we live?
Inevitably, if not already, we will all have the thought that "life isn't going how we had thought it would." That can be in small ways but also in some big ways that throw us for a loop. In this episode, we're talking about 3 practical ways that help you get through those tough times when things aren't going as planned.
Most of us this time of year are making resolutions and goals to prepare for the year to come. And instead of throwing goals out there and not really knowing how to fully tackle those or follow-through, let's start with some best practices (of what NOT to do) to make sure we're all proud of what we accomplished by the end of this year.
This episode is dedicated to our sweet dog, Marshall, who recently passed; but not without first teaching us an incredibly powerful lesson.
Failure is inevitable...lets talk about how we do it in such a way that allows us to grow and thrive instead of isolate and stagnate.
We're doing a lot of introspection on today's episode, helping you search your heart and mind for things and experiences that may be impacting you more than you realize. This is one you may want to take notes on for future journaling!
For episode 100, we're answering 100 quick, fun questions (as recommended by a listener). Enjoy!
