  • 41. Hearing Aids and the Kingdom Gospel

In today's episode Scharlee and Emily discuss something they recently learned - 5 versions of the gospel that aren't complete. Each of the 5 versions contains some aspects of the gospel, but doesn't really do justice to the full Kingdom Gospel the Jesus taught. Scharlee and Emily talk about each version, the pros and cons of each, and the full Kingdom Gospel.

They also discuss Scharlee's ears for a while, so you definitely don't want to miss that. :)

If you're interested in learning more about Kingdom Gospel, Emily highly recommends the After Class podcast episodes about it,the first of which is linked here.

  • 33. The Holidays Are Harder This Year - Part 1

In today's episode Scharlee and Emily discuss the thing that everyone knows, but we really don't necessarily want to talk about - how everyone has experienced loss in 2020, and that is making the holidays harder. Emily and Scharlee talk about why loss is difficult, the stages of grief, what to do with feelings of grief and loss during the holidays, and what NOT to say to people who are experiencing feelings of loss and grief. We also talk about how to be a safe person for those around us who are walking through grief and loss and mention creative ways people have cared for us and that we've been able to care for others.

Hopefully after listening, you feel encouraged to know that you are not alone. This year has been hard. And it's okay to feel that way during the holidays.

We are rooting for you this holiday season and we love you all! Thanks for listening!
