Anna Fenton discusses the management of premenstrual syndrome in primary care. Anna is a gynaecological endocrinologist at Canterbury DHB where she is clinical lead for bone densitometry. She is a member of the pharmacology and therapeutic advisory committee for endocrinology and is past president of the Australasian Menopause Society.

Dr Susan Morton talks about the Growing Up in New Zealand study, what we have learned so far and how we should be using this knowledge to reduce inequity and optimise care in New Zealand general practices. Susan is a public health physician specialising in life-course epidemiology and works at the University of Auckland. She is the director and principle investigator for the Growing Up in New Zealand Study.

Professor Bruce Arroll talks about antibiotic use, the prescribing challenges that GPs face and updates antibiotic use. Bruce is a professor at the department of General Practice and Primary Health Care at the University of Auckland. He also works in clinical practice at Greenstone Family Clinic in South Auckland.

Sara Filoche talks about non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) and its use in general practice. Sara is a senior lecturer at the University of Otago. She has a background in biomedical science and is a health services researcher whose work is centred around improving access to health care and reducing health inequalities. Sara also teaches a special topic distance learning paper HASC401 on "Genomic Health and Medicine" At Otago University.

 Jonathan Heather is a New Zealand trained plastic surgeon working at Counties Manukau plastics unit, the National Burns Centre and privately at the North Shore Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Clinic. Jonathan talks about burns in primary care.

Michelle Thunders talks about epigenetics, genomics and personalised medicine. Michelle is a senior lecturer in the department of pathology and molecular medicine at the University of Otago.

Diane Phone a pharmacist from Middlemore Hospital and Angela Moananu a primary care nurse, talk about their clinic's “own my own gout” programme, where patients connect directly with their pharmacist to manage their gout.

Linda Bryant talks about a dangerous drug trio known as the triple-whammy and the implications in general practice. Dr Bryant is a practising clinical pharmacist. She also teaches post graduate pharmacy students and is passionate about optimisation and individualisations of medicines therapy. She is chair of the clinical advisory pharmacist association and is currently on the medicines adverse reactions committee for MedSafe.

Kate Roberts discusses the role of acupuncture in primary care. Kate is a practicing acupuncturist in Wellington and is a lecturer at the New Zealand School of Acupuncture. She has a masters in traditional Chinese medicine, is chair of the Acupuncture for Mental Health Clinical Interest Group and sits on the Council of Acupuncture New Zealand.

Dr Alan Fraser discusses bowel cancer screening, surveillance and general management in primary care. Alan is a gastroenterologist and Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Auckland. He is a member of Auckland Gastroenterology Associates based at MercyAscot Specialist Centre.
