The inquiry into the use of the Emergencies Act is well underway. Since it was invoked on February 14th this has been the first time it has been used since its creation in 1988. Blacklock's Reporter's latest states that the Freedom Convoy organizers complied with a city that agreement to move the trucks the same day that the cabinet declared a national emergency. Tom Korski, managing editor for Blacklock's Reporter discusses the inquiry and the convoy.

Tomorrow a new festival is arriving in Saskatoon. The Saskatchewan Jewish Arts Festival will take place from October 19-23 and will feature music, film, and visual art from the Jewish community. Joel Bernbaum, the curator of the Jewish Arts Festival tells us what we can expect for this week's event.

With inflation and grocery prices still rising, we might finally catch a break at the grocery store. Loblaws is freezing the prices on all of its no-name brand items until January 31st, 2023. There are over 1500 no-name products from the company, and Loblaw's is the first Canadian grocer to voluntarily freeze the prices of food products. Sylvain Charlebois, professor in food distribution and policy at Dalhousie University tells us more.
