He just arrived home and he joins Gormley to tell us about what he was seeing on the days before his departure and how much the situation evolved since he first arrived in Ukraine in February.

Alison Berge trains service dogs for a living, but she says the requirements for licensing and regulating service dogs in Saskatchewan have a long way to come. Berge says she'd like to see stronger regulations put in place to prevent people from simply buying a service dog vest from Amazon and claiming their own pet is helping them navigate life as a service animal. Berge joins Gormley to explain some of the issues when it comes to service dogs, and what should be done to change things.

Saskatchewan is the second most attractive jurisdiction in the world for mining investment (behind Western Australia), according to a new study by the Fraser Institute. Canada's carbon tax is rising, but the shift towards green technology means mined will need to expand dramatically around the world in order to keep pace with the demand for batteries and other materials. Ken Green with the Fraser Institute joins Gormley to tell us more about their report, and the future of mining in our province.

A number of civil liberties groups are pushing the federal government to allow them to call witnesses and compel sworn testimony during the inquiry into the Trudeau government's invocation of the Emergencies Act. According to the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, an inquiry that doesn't involve the major players testifying under oath would be meaningless. Tom Korski has been following the Emergencies Act for Blacklock's Reporter in Ottawa, and he joins Gormley to tell us more.

This morning, the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce is bringing together city and business leaders to kick off a fundraising effort for Saskatoon's Ukrainian sister city, Chernivtsi. The group is aiming to purchase and transport vital equipment and supplies, following an urgent request for help sent to Mayor Charlie Clark from Chernivtsi Mayor Roman Klichuk. Jason Aebig heads up the Saskatoon Chamber, and he joins Gormley to share details of the humanitarian effort.

Canada's rules around medical assistance in death (MAID) are changing next March to include people whose sole underlying condition is a mental illness, including depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, and more. While the changes may offer some relief to those who are suffering and seeking an end to their pain, the changes are not without controversy. Dr. Ferrukh Faruqui, an Ottawa family physician, outlined some of the issues still affecting MAID in Canada, and how the changes may spark conflict among doctors, and she joins Gormley to discuss MAID and why doctor-assisted death can be a double-edged sword.

After suffering a traumatic brain injury during a car accident in 2016, Evan Wall, then just 19 years old, found himself hospitalized for six months and re-learning basic life skills. Wall's story was told in a recent book, co-authored by Wall and Susanne Gauthier, and both authors join Gormley to tell us about the book and the realities of living with a traumatic brain injury.
