According to Blacklock's Reporter, federal departments and agencies paid $610,900 to "social media influencers" including a CBC Dragons' Den personality that was hired to praise the government's work. Tom Korski, managing editor for Blacklock's Reporter in Ottawa, joins Gormley to tell us more.

Jean Charest, Canada's former deputy prime minister and the premier of Quebec from 2003-2012, has thrown his hat into the ring to replace Erin O'Toole as leader of the Conservative Party of Canada. Charest joins Gormley to tell us about his platform, why he feels he's the right man for the job, and his thoughts on the confidence agreement announced yesterday between the Liberal government and the NDP.

The TV series that follows Saskatoon paramedics on the job returns for a sixth season. Paramedics: Emergency Response Season 6 debuts this week (Thursday, March. 24) on CityTV. In season 6 episode 1, paramedics respond to a single-vehicle rollover, a woman with severe chest pain, a man in a diabetic emergency, and a grad student stabbed by a burglar. Rob Dziadyk and Shiela Mathies are both paramedics on the show. They join John to talk about what it's like filming the show and how COVID has made everything so much harder.

Saskatchewan has just launched a public awareness campaign on firearm safety, offering important tips and promoting safe practices when using and storing firearms. Robert Freberg is Saskatchewan's chief firearms officer, and he joins Gormley to tell us about the campaign and some of the firearms issues he's tackling in his role as CFO.

The head of the Ukrainian Catholic Church for all of the United Kingdon was born and raised in North Battleford, Sask. Bishop Kenneth Nowakowski celebrated his second anniversary as Bishop on Monday, and Bishop Kenneth joins Gormley to discuss the shows of solidarity and the relief efforts he is helping to coordinate for Ukraine.
