Saskatchewan has launched an online registry for organ donation, allowing residents to make a formal declaration of their decision to donate their organs and tissue. Dr. Joann Kawchuk, medical director for donation with the Saskatchewan Health Authority, says the registry will mean more chances to save lives, and she joins Gormley to discuss the registry and organ donation in Saskatchewan.

The Canadian Coalition for Firearms Rights is set to debut a new documentary Monday. “Broken Trust,” a one-hour doc explaining the issues with the new federal gun bans and the CCFR's legal fight against the bans. The film will air on the Sportsman's Channel Sept. 7, 10, 12, and 13, and CCFR CEO Rod Giltaca joins Gormley with an update on the coalition's fight against the Trudeau government's new gun-control measures.

As we get ready to head into the long weekend, Saskatchewan still has a very low number of active COVID-19 cases. Premier Scott Moe is working to keep those cases low, including discouraging any interprovincial travel over the long weekend. Moe joins Gormley for an update on the fight against COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, the preparations for schools to re-open next week, and his message to the province heading into the holiday weekend.

Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan has a new permanent facility along the South Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon. Despite the cancellation of this year's festival due to COVID-19, the troupe says the new facility will be a great site for future festivals and events. The facility will be open to the public Sept. 14, and the group is looking for ideas on how other organizations could also make use of the space. Director of Marketing and Development Alan Long joins Gormley to tell us about the new facility.

Early in the year, Downtown Saskatoon's Executive Director Brent Penner called for significant changes to the Lighthouse Supported Living Inc., following a number of high-profile crimes in the downtown area. Months later, Penner says the frustrations are still there, and he's still hearing serious concerns from members. Penner, who sent another letter to Mayor Charlie Clark and Social Services Minister Paul Merriman yesterday, joins Gormley to discuss the Lighthouse's impact on the city's downtown core, and what could be done to alleviate the issues without simply cancelling their much-needed programs.
