According to Cook's new book 'The Fight for History: 75 Years of Forgetting, Remembering and Remaking Canada’s Second World War,' Canada's war effort was depicted as a series of disasters by the end of the 20th century, while memory overlooked Canada’s crucial role in the Battle of the Atlantic, the air war against Germany, and the successes in Italy. Cook says no other nation remade its victories into defeats in a bizarre quirk of public opinion, and joins Gormley to discuss how Canadian perceptions of the war have changed since that fateful day in 1945.

Anthony Thoen and Spencer Chilliak, two members of Saskatoon based touring band Bombargo, found out late Friday evening that they appear in the newly released film, ‘Bill & Ted Face The Music.’ The pair had recorded a video of them skateboarding down a hill in Saskatoon while playing guitars and entered the video in a contest for the movie. They were shocked Friday to find out their material had made the cut. Anthony and Spencer join Gormley to talk about the video they shot and getting to be in the movie.
