Brian Martin is executive director of Mont St. Joseph Home, a 120 bed special care home located in the City of Prince Albert, and he joins Gormley to discuss their issues with funding. According to Martin, the COVID-19 pandemic is shining a light on the challenges present inside long-term care homes, and he'd like to see predictable, stable funding put in place to allow operators to improve the services they can deliver. But Martin says we first need to acknowledge that care homes are more than just places where seniors go to die.

Ferguson's audits found privacy issues with eHealth's IT network, identified issues with the way our new Highway Patrol procures firearms, and raised the alarm about the need for ongoing assessment of foster parents. The RCMP won't be participating as a new law comes into effect next week, aiming to allow residents to seek information from police on their intimate partners' past history of violent or abusive behavior. Saskatchewan Justice Minister Don Morgan said he was "beyond disappointed" in a letter to federal Public Safety Minister Bill Blair, and Morgan joins Gormley to discuss the importance of "Clare's Law" and why he feels the RCMP should be on board.

Federal Infrastructure Minister Catherine McKenna is under pressure to prove the existence of roughly 20,000 taxpayer-funded projects which are supposed to be underway or completed, according to Blacklock's Reporter. Parliamentary Budget Officer Yves Giroux cited McKenna for the lack of transparency last week, saying he had faith that the projects existed but it was hard to be convinced. McKenna noted some of the projects carry privacy concerns, such as new women's shelters, but was still unable to demonstrate their existence. CPC MP Pierre Poilievre said the government claims they're spending $10B/year on infrastructure, but are only accounting for half that amount.
