The Canadian Federation of Independent Business says it's going to take significant changes to the CERB and emergency wage subsidy programs to get Canadians back to work. CFIB recently presented its recommendations to the federal government, noting 82% of small firms believe CERB recipients should be required to be available and looking for work. According to Oliver, a death/estate tax, an increase to the GST, or an increased income tax on the middle class are both real possibilities as the federal government works to reduce the debt piling up during COVID-19. It seems like harmless fun, but author and speaker Allan Kehler says these types of challenges could cause real issues for young people or those who struggle with alcohol. Kehler says COVID-19 has led to significantly-increased alcohol use in many people, and for a lot of people it's harmless but for others it's an issue that demands some attention. Kehler joins Gormley to discuss some of the issues around alcohol-related "challenges" and why COVID-19 has made the issue worse.

Concerns around police racism and excessive use of force have seen protests ignited around the world. Some have called for police services to be defunded or abolished entirely, but because that's not a reasonable option we wanted to discuss what police can do to eliminate these issues. Mark Fisher is the head of the RCMP in Saskatchewan and president of the Saskatchewan Association of Chiefs of Police.
