Yesterday the RCMP gave a preliminary timeline of events that happened during the tragic events on the James Smith Cree Nation back in September. Commanding Officer of the Saskatchewan RCMP and Assistant Commissioner Rhonda Blackmore joins Gormley to discuss what was presented and discover along with what is next in the investigation for the RCMP.

In a recent poll most Canadians are in support of the PSAC demands when it comes to wage premiums and working from home. 55% of Canadians support the right to work from home while 65% support the union asking for wage premiums. Dave Korzinski is the Research Director at the Angus Reid Institute who did the poll and joins Gormley to explain how strong the support for the PSAC is from Canadians.

Health Canada has approved the first and only single-dose immunization to prevent Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in infants. Dr. Steven Moss, Associate Professor of Pediatrics from the University of Toronto and American Board of Pediatrics Certified and Toronto-based Community Pediatrician joins Gormley to explain how important this approval is for families in preventing RSV.

The government of Canada is rolling out its first phase of the assault rifle confiscation program. Public Safety Canada entered into an agreement with the Canadian Sporting Arms and Ammunition Association (CSAAA) to help identify some 11,000 assault-style firearms. Wes Winkel is the President of the CSAAA and joins Gormley to explain what role they are taking in this first phase and how they plan to help firearm owners in compensation.
