This is our first episode in 2020 Yay!! In this episode I delve into how shame can hinder your abundance and share how to overcome shame.
I’ll start with the meaning of shame:
1. A painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behaviour.
2. A painful emotion that is caused by a consciousness of guilt, shortcoming impropriety.
In her book Heart, Mind and Money Vangile Makwakwa Says “Money people tend to feel ashamed that they don’t have money but what they don’t realise is that shame is what perpetuates the lack of money, because it negatively affects the way they behave with money.”
Too much shame harms our self esteem and robs us of Self-love.
Shame is the lowest vibration in the Human Emotion vibration chart scoring 20 on a scale of 0 – 1000.
Shame shuts down your solar plexus chakra which deals with your Personal Power and its associated with the Digestive System, Urinary System, Energy reception, Filtration, Water, Light energy In, this Chakra acts as an “Energy Filter”.
When you feel shame, our ego goes on a defence mode to protect itself. We react in 4 ways:
· Finally attack ourselves.
I share from a personal experience on how shame hindered my abundance and how I overcame it by applying the following:
1. Being aware, specific and honest about what you are ashamed of as the flip side of shame is an indicator that to inform you to introspect.
2. Actively doing physical exercises to gain my power back.
3. Speaking your truth at all times, no matter how dark and gloomy you think it is.
4. Getting yourself out there! Confront your fears by doing activities you never thought you would do.
5. Be kind to yourself and celebrate yourself every single day! (I can never say this enough)
6. Having an honest and open relationship with yourself and make time to be alone.
7. Invite your inner squad or inner gang to each and every decision you make and all celebrations.
8. Your inner squad is your is your infant self, toddler self, the primary schooler, the teenager, the 21-year-old, your pre-mommy self, your career self, the wife, the mommy, etc.
So, this platform is a dialogue, I'd love to hear from you. So that we chat about your AHA moment or your heart opening moment.
