The opposite of repression is expression. In order to process our emotional distress and move it through out of our body, so it doesn’t get stuck there, we need to learn to express our emotions , in the body and mind. 

However we firstly need to learn to:

Be aware of them;  

Allow yourself to feel them; 

Accept them and 

Re-set by moving past them.
