When sickness comes, most of us know exactly what to do first. We call the doctor, we fill the prescription—and that’s good and wise. But is that all God asks of us? Dr. Robert Jeffress explains how the Bible says to respond when illness strikes.

There’s one thing you can be certain of: You will die someday, as we all will. There have been only two exceptions to that—the prophet Elijah, and a godly man named Enoch who skipped death because of his faithful walk with God. John MacArthur shows you how Enoch’s example of faith can prepare you for heaven.

Why does it seem that there is a rise in mothers harming or taking the lives of their children? History reveals that this is not a new phenomenon. Throughout the ages, the sacrifice of children has reflected the values and beliefs of the surrounding culture. In this episode, we explore how a godless society accepts the harming of children and, conversely, how these practices begin to diminish wherever Christianity takes root and flourishes.

James “JB” Brown is an award-winning sports broadcaster, longtime host of The NFL Today and a respected voice whose career has spanned decades at the highest levels of sports television.
In this episode of The Unbound Podcast , Dr. Tony Evans sits down with his longtime friend for a personal conversation about faith, family, preparation and what it means to represent Christ in the public eye.
Brown reflects on the foundation laid by his parents, the lessons he learned playing basketball at DeMatha Catholic High School and Harvard, and the disappointment of being cut by the Atlanta Hawks. What felt like a painful setback became a defining lesson: opportunities matter, but preparation determines what you do with them.
He shares how that commitment to excellence eventually opened the door to broadcasting and why he has carried a “free agent mentality” throughout his career, refusing to take any opportunity for granted.
Brown also opens up about his journey to faith and the responsibility he feels to live as a Christian broadcaster, allowing his relationship with Christ to shape not only what he says but how he works, prepares and treats others. He and Dr. Evans discuss what it looks like to bring biblical convictions into the workplace with wisdom, excellence and integrity.
Their conversation becomes especially personal as Brown reflects on his late brother Everett’s battle with addiction, his transformation through God’s Word and the freedom he found in Christ near the end of his life.
Through stories from the basketball court, the broadcast booth and his own family, Brown offers a powerful reminder that God can use both success and disappointment to prepare us for His purposes.
When faith comes first, every platform becomes an opportunity to represent the One who gave it to you.
