One phrase that is often misused by NAR teachers is "led by the Spirit." We examine Romans 8:1-14 and show that all true believers are the sons of God. Those who are led by the flesh are unbelievers, while the redeemed of God are led by the Spirit.
This class contains an in depth discussion about the local church, its leadership, the duties of the leaders, and serious confusion caused by the structures of the institutionalized church in church history.
There are not two different gospels. Passage show that the message of the kingdom of God is preached from Luke 4 and all the way to the end of Acts 28. Jesus and His apostles preached the kingdom of God. Jesus is the promised King who is now reigning in heaven and will come again to judge His enemies and reign on the earth. Those who repent and believe the gospel are part of the kingdom through their saving relationship to the King, and will be part of the future kingdom.
This class covers many passages which show the unity of the message of the gospel in Luke-Acts. We claim that this same message must be the message of the church throughout the church age.
Proponents of NAR claim that God has given Christians dominion over other humans as well as animals and plant life. We demonstrate clearly from Genesis 1:26 and Genesis 9:1-6 that this is not true. The Bible teaches that all humans have dominion over lesser creatures (all animal and plant life), but that Christians will only reign over other humans once Christ is reigning upon the earth in His millennial kingdom.
We prove, from Jesus’ great commission, that making disciples of all nations is a command to preach the gospel, baptize converts, and instruct new believers in the doctrines of Christ.
