Conversations about mixed heritage and Black identity are never simple, and we’re not here to pretend we have all the answers. We may not have said everything perfectly. We didn’t say everything we wanted to say. But that’s the whole point—we’re here to talk, to articulate, to learn.We are Black. Full stop. Our “mixed” heritage isn’t outside of Blackness—it’s held within it. Blackness is broad and expansive and we exist fully within it. We are young, gifted, and Black, and we’re in constant motion—growing, progressing, and engaging with ourselves and each other.This is a space for honesty, for exploration, and for getting it right—eventually. And until we do, we’ll keep saying it again.

Some people claim we’re not African American because of our hair type or skin color—but history and identity aren’t that simple. In this episode, we discuss the misconceptions, challenge the gatekeeping, offer our personal views on what it really means to be African American.

Join us as our little brothers open up about the powerful influence of hip-hop culture on their lives—the good, the bad, and the struggles in between. From the music to the mindset, they discuss how they navigate its impact, challenge negative narratives, and fight to create radical peer pressure.
