Williams driver and GPDA president Carlos Sainz Junior has dubbed Oscar Piastri’s Sao Paulo Grand Prix penalty unacceptable, and believes the drivers’ guidelines should be revised instantly. Piastri was given a race-ruining 10-second time penalty for a collision with Kimi Antonelli at an early safety car restart at Interlagos.

The final stretch of the season has arrived and although Lando Norris holds a comfortable lead, Oscar Piastri will do everything he can to claim the world title. The duo still have to take a possible engine change into account, something McLaren team boss Andrea Stella has hinted at several times.
