বাংলা সাহিত্যের ভান্ডার অফুরন্ত! বলতে গেলে ঈশ্বর যেন দুই হাত ভরে দিয়েছেন আমাদের! আমরা কৃতজ্ঞ বাঙালি হয়ে জন্মেছি বলে । কিন্তু বই পড়ার অভ্যেস ক্রমশ বুঝি হারিয়ে যাচ্ছে! তবে কি এই অসাধারণ গল্পেরাও হারিয়ে যাবে আমাদের জীবন থেকে ? সেই ভাবনা থেকেই, একটু ফিরিয়ে আনার চেষ্টা! পরের প্রজন্মের কাছে রেখে যাওয়া। সবটুকু সম্ভব না, যতটুকু হয়। শুরু করছি, অতি প্রিয় লেখিকা লীলা মজুমদারের হাত ধরে, যাঁর হাত ধরেই একদিন গল্প পড়তে শুরু করেছিলাম, তাঁকে শুধু শিশু সাহিত্যিক বললে কম বলা হয়, গল্প গুলো শুনে এই বুড়ো বয়েসেও মন ভালো হয়ে যায়। আসুন তবে শুনি...The treasure trove of Bengali literature is truly inexhaustible! It feels as if the divine has blessed us abundantly. We are grateful to have been born as Bengalis. Yet, it seems the habit of reading books is gradually fading away. Does this mean these extraordinary stories will also disappear from our lives? It is this concern that has inspired me to try and bring them back-at least to some extent-for the next generation. We may not be able to preserve everything, but we can certainly pass on as much as we can.I am beginning this journey with my beloved author, Leela Majumdar, whose stories first introduced me to the magical world of literature. To call her merely a children's writer would be an understatement; even at this age, her stories continue to fill my heart with joy.So, let us come together and listen-
