Philsy went full correspondent mode on the 2026 Met Gala - best dressed (Kris Jenner and Cara Delevingne), worst dressed (Heidi Klum, obviously), the Bezos controversy, Rihanna arriving after the red carpet had already closed, Blake Lively's energy, Katy Perry's six-fingers, and Beyoncé doing exactly what Beyoncé does. 

In the Weekly Spiral: a missing woman in Mexico whose filtered Instagram photos made her unrecognisable to police, the Pentagon press briefing that became an Austin Powers bit when Iran was accused of deploying kamikaze dolphins, and the Thermos recall affecting 8 million containers after three people lost their vision opening their lunch. 

The SideQuest was Silent Call, where it was proven why Philsy isn’t allowed to plan anything on her own. We wore headphones and had to navigate phone calls with no idea what was happening. Philsy’s Mum thought she was being held hostage while Han’s Dad huffed and puffed yet somehow knew Philsy was involved. A second caller announced she'd done a poo. It was exactly what it sounds like.

This week on Grab Her By The Mic, we started with a wholesome morning walk up a mountain. We looked out over a beautiful view, breathed in the fresh air, and immediately started workshopping the logistics of disposing of a body. It escalated.

From there we somehow made it to Recap & Rosé - a French rosé that scored 91/100 and is described as "a beautifully subtle honeysuckle pink colour." We described it as tart. Like us. Han's week was a big one: wrapping up a chapter, making some scary decisions, and arriving on the other side feeling something dangerously close to peace. Philsy's week involved a boat that was slowly sinking (not metaphorically, literally), soggy sandwiches, nearly shouting "take your leg out" at a seven-year-old, and a crystal she charged that may have given someone a calf tear. The Lord giveth, the crystal taketh.

This week Philsy's HyperFix went full entrepreneur with a deep dive into side hustles - specifically thrifting designer items from op shops and flipping them for serious coin. We're talking a $6 Bottega bag sold for $548. Then Han took us somewhere more confronting: Gen Alpha kids. Why are they so feral? Why can't they sit still? Why does your child know 12 varieties of grass in Spanish but cannot handle waiting 40 seconds for toast. Uncomfortable realisations are unlocked.

The SideQuest was Han's "Translate This, Genius" - a Gen Alpha slang quiz where Philsy had to pick the correct definition from three options, all of which were plausible and mostly wrong. She got most of them. We were both relieved and disturbed.
