Today we continue with our series from the New Testament book of Philippians, and Pastor Pierre Rosa uses the first nine verses from chapter four to teach us to Rejoice in Lord.----Our sources of joy may be found in many things or circumstances, but the Lord Himself is our greatest and most permanent source of rejoicing.

Today Pastor Pierre Rosa teaches us to Rejoice in Perseverance. The Christian life, described in the Bible, is never stagnant. We do not simply coast to the end. Paul makes that clear in his letter to the Philippians. Believers are called to press on - to learn and mature - no matter what our circumstances. And even as we near the end of life, we expected to continue to grow, and spend our last energies stretching toward the finish line.

Go to any metropolitan area, and given a bit of patience and ingenuity, you can almost certainly purchase fake Gucci shoes or a fake Rolex watch. It might prove embarrassing to you if someone finds out you don't own the real thing, but purchase fake medicine and try to treat a disease and you might wind up dead. As final as that may sound, imagine the devastating effect of a fake Gospel. That will leave you separated from God for eternity.

On today's program, Pastor Pierre Rosa focuses on the biblical view of manhood. Our culture's confusion about the role of men is growing by the day. Now, more than ever, men are allowed, if not encouraged, to avoid responsibility as long as possible.

Today, Pastor Pierre Rosa will teach us to rejoice in Godliness. To do that, we have to make a series of choices - embracing some things and abandoning others. This becomes a strategy for successful Christian living. But the most important part of our strategy is to choose to rejoice - even when we don't feel like it, something we can only do with God's help.

The New Testament book of Philippians is full of joy - though joy is not always found where you would expect. Last week we were reminded to rejoice in life because of the great hope we have in our certain future.----Today, Pastor Pierre Rosa will teach us to rejoice in the Christian Virtues of unity and humility.

There are times of great joy in our lives - joy expressed for obvious reasons. But there are also times when joy seems strangely out of place. When times are tough, how is it is possible for Christians to rejoice- Well, we'll learn how that's possible and why we have such hardships in our life in just a moment as Pastor Pierre Rosa continues his sermon series from the book of Philippians entitled -The Joy of the Lord.-

Over the last few weeks, Pastor Pierre Rosa has been teaching us about very unusual places to find power. So far, we've learned about the power found in Obedience and in Repentance. Today, we'll discover one more unlikely place of power- in Faithfulness. And we'll also learn how God measures success. It won't come as much of surprise that God's standard of success is often much different than ours.

Last week, Pastor Pierre Rosa taught us about the Power of Obedience. This week, he's teaching about the Power of Repentance. It's so typical for us to think of repentance as a sign of weakness. And because repentance and forgiveness are often closely related, we can find ourselves thinking of them like a contract- We'll forgive, when they repent. But God views thing quite differently, which means, of course, so should we.

We're continuing our series with Pastor Pierre Rosa entitled -Jonah and the Compassion of God.- Jonah has been on quite a journey - mostly running away from God to this point - but God is certainly not done with his rebellious prophet. He's using divine discipline to reshape Jonah's heart.
