This morning, I want to introduce you to a fascinating guy whose interaction with Jesus interaction with Jesus is recorded in Matthew, Mark and Luke. Their conversation took less than a minute, but out of all the many interactions and conversations had it was so significant that three of the writers had to include it. It's often thought that Mark is writing his account here based on Peter's recollections. Why did this stick with Matthew and Peter and get handed down to Luke and Peter?

The problem was not opportunity. There were many women in the kingdom who would have jumped at the opportunity to marry a king and become a queen. Besides the wealth and power, the king was known to be a kind man, a generous, gracious man. But the king was concerned. If he found the "right" woman, how would he know that she was marrying him for love and not just because he was king?...
